Photoluminescence, stimulated and laser emission in CuInSe2 crystals

چکیده
Excitonic quality CuInSe2 crystals were studied using low-temperature (10 K) photoluminescence (PL) excited by continuous wave and nanosecond pulsed lasers at power densities from 0.01 to 76 kW/cm2. Increasing the excitation density level 26 kW/cm2 resulted in appearance of a stimulated emission SE-band PL spectra 1.035 eV. Further increase 39 generated on top SE band, structure equidistant sharp lines attributed laser emission.

Photoluminescence in two-dimensional crystals
Two-dimensional (2D) crystals derived from layered structures exhibit a unique set of properties as elegantly demonstrated for graphene. Semiconducting 2D structures such as MoS2 sheets are attractive building blocks for novel electronic and optoelectronic devices. In this talk, I will report photoluminescence properties of group 6 transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) 2D crystals and discuss h...
متن کاملEngineering broadband and anisotropic photoluminescence emission from rare earth doped tellurite thin film photonic crystals.
Broadband and anisotropic light emission from rare-earth doped tellurite thin films is demonstrated using Er3+-TeO2 photonic crystals (PhCs). By adjusting the PhC parameters, photoluminescent light can be efficiently coupled into vertical surface emission or lateral waveguide propagation modes. Because of the flexibility of light projection direction, Er3+-TeO2 is a potential broadband light so...
متن کاملRadioluminescence and photoluminescence of Th:CaF2 crystals
We study thorium-doped CaF2 crystals as a possible platform for optical spectroscopy of the (229)Th nuclear isomer transition. We anticipate two major sources of background signal that might cover the nuclear spectroscopy signal: VUV-photoluminescence, caused by the probe light, and radioluminescence, caused by the radioactive decay of (229)Th and its daughters. We find a rich photoluminescence...
متن کامل'Social Laser': action amplification by stimulated emission of social energy.
The problem of the 'explanation' of recent social explosions, especially in the Middle East, but also in Southern Europe and the USA, has been debated actively in the social and political literature. We can mention the contributions of P. Mason, F. Fukuyama, E. Schmidt, J. Cohen and I. Krastev to this debate. We point out that the diversity of opinions and conclusions is really amazing. At the ...
متن کاملRipplon laser through stimulated emission mediated by water waves
Lasers rely on stimulated electronic transition, a quantum phenomenon in the form of population inversion. In contrast, phonon masers1–3 depend on stimulated Raman scattering and are entirely classical. Here we extend Raman lasers1–3 to rely on capillary waves, which are unique to the liquid phase of matter and relate to the attraction between intimate fluid particles. We fabricate resonators t...
